Lauren Holloway, LCMSW

Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) with a minor in Health Psychology and a minor in Health Care Ethics from Wayne State University. She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) at the University of Michigan, where she was honored with the Detroit Clinical Scholars Program distinction.

With her roots in communities such as Flint, Detroit, Lansing, and Marquette, Lauren remains committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care across the state of Michigan.

She is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which focuses on skill-building techniques to improve your emotional understanding and enhance your quality of life. Lauren uses techniques like mindfulness, body-informed/somatic therapy, and the expressive arts to support you in connecting with your inner self.

Lauren’s personal journey, which includes her own experiences with mental health challenges and chronic illness, gives her a unique understanding of the complexities of change and uncertainty. She approaches her work with a blend of empathy, focus, and a touch of humor. Above all, her practice is built on principles of kindness, dignity, and unwavering respect for your humanity.
