Nadja was born in Minnesota, raised in Washington state, and moved to Michigan to attend college. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Michigan, graduating with the highest honors.
Nadja works with individuals and families, helping to navigate parenting concerns, divorce, challenging behaviors of adolescence, and reintegration after psychiatric hospitalization.
Nadja specializes in issues of trauma and anxiety. She is certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, a specific way of making sense of trauma. She practices from a humanistic perspective with a belief in the value and uniqueness of the whole person.
From her own experiences with anxiety, Nadja believes people are best understood holistically. In her practice, she incorporates a love of empathic connection with knowledge of mindfulness, bodywork, and nutrition. Her style is warm, personable, curious, and analytical.
Aside from her work, Nadja enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, crafting, listening to podcasts, downing a steamy cup of coffee or tea, and spending time with her partner, daughter, and two cats.
